Motto of Dear Grandpa Its Michael

We Support Autistic Children and Youth to Reach Their Full Potential

What We Do

01.

-Autism Advocacy

Our filming of Michael's Whitell real life story of growing up with autism is just one aspect of how we work towards representing autism as a whole. We recognize that autism is global as well and so we also utilize social media on a weekly basis and work with various partners to help us represent autism and support those on the spectrum.

02.

-Social Media

With our story currently in production, we utilize our social media channels on a weekly basis to either provide updates about our film project or represent the ongoing situations in the autism community, as well as autism itself.

03.

-Create Partnerships

Dear Grandpa, It's Michael actively works to create partnerships with individuals and organizations to further develop our film project with production or funding, provide work opportunities, advocate for autism, and help the communities around us. If you are interested in partnering with our project, please visit our contact us page.

04.

-Provide Opportunities

Our film production company, M3A Pictures, is passionate about providing working opportunities to those on the autism spectrum, as well as anyone outside the spectrum that may be interested in filming, artistic performance, social media, or film production. If you are interested in joining our team for Dear Grandpa, It's Michael, please visit our contact us page.

05.

- Sharing Stories

In addition to filming Michael's Whitell's real life story of growing up with autism, we also share stories on our social media channels that revolve around autism, individuals on the spectrum, and family. Some examples include the ongoing situation with Ontario's Autism Program Waitlist and supporting The Ontario Autism Coalition. We have also shared the life stories of our cast and crew that are on the autism spectrum, as well as Michael Whitell's family, whose unconditional love and support of him are the foundation of our film project.

06.

-Work for Change

Filming Michael's real life autism story and sharing it as Dear Grandpa, It's Michael is all meant to work toward creating positive change for the autism community and society as a whole. Whether it's for hope, to properly represent autism, show that autism support services are important, or teach that all children, with the right support, deserve the opportunity towards living the best version of their life.

Sharing Michael and Karen's Family Story

Through film and social media, we want to share the inspirational story of Michael growing up with autism and how he grew up into an accomplished young man. This was through the unconditional love and support of his mother Karen, who never gave up.

The Autism Community

Our film project is all about helping the autism communities around the world, as well as near our home. We are currently working towards international partnerships with autism groups and individuals. We have also currently been supporting The Ontario Autism Coalition's mission to help everyone on The Ontario Autism Program's Waitlist.

Supporting Families

Aside from Michael and Karen, our autism family film project is also dedicated towards supporting other families on the autism spectrum. We have hired an autistic actor named Stefano Di Cecco as our ambassador and cast member, who is supported by his parents. We have also occasionally featured families involved with the Ontario Autism Coalition on our social media.

Showing Michael and Karen's Life Today

As we work towards filming Michael and Karen's past family story, we use our social media channels to provide real life updates of their lives today in the present. Most recent examples include Michael's achievements, learning at Conestoga College, and Michael and Karen's beloved dogs, Loki and Hela.

Growing Beyond

Our team is not just content with only one autism film project, we want to expand and become a producer of cinematic stories for real life topics and groups that are currently ignored and misrepresented, such as autism. We believe that film is a powerful medium for global advocacy and want to continue to produce real life stories like Michael's to help change the world for the better. We hope to accomplish this in producing Dear Grandpa, It's Michael as the launching cinematic project in autism advocacy for our film production company, My Three Angels Pictures Inc, (aka M3A Pictures).
